Stuart extends road winning streak to five

Recap: Stuart Broncos vs. Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades

Make it eight blowout wins for the Stuart Broncos this season. Everything went their way against Chambers/Wheeler Central on Tuesday as Stuart made off with a 63-41 victory. The win was nothing new for Stuart as they're now sitting on six straight.

Stuart got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Drew Schmaderer out in front who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schmaderer has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gavynn Mustin, who scored 16 points along with eight steals and five rebounds.

Despite the defeat, Chambers/Wheeler Central saw an underclassman step up: Michael Jesse scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Jesse pulled down eight or more rebounds. Daniel Kluver was another key contributor, scoring four points.

Stuart pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stuart will take on Elgin/Pope John at TBD on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Elgin/Pope John is ranked 97th, while Stuart is ranked 102nd). As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Boyd County at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Boyd County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
