Basketball Recap: Audubon Takes a Loss

Audubon lost against Treynor back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Audubon Wheelers lost 70-47 to the Treynor Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Wheelers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Cardinals are ranked 40th).

Audubon is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7. As for Treynor, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Audubon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-41 victory against Exira-EHK on the 18th. As for Treynor, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Treynor Cardinals challenge the Woodbine Tigers at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Treynor's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
