Basketball Recap: Rocky Point Takes a Loss

Rocky Point was the 66-65 winner over Amityville Memorial when they last played one another back in February of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 70-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Saturday.

Rocky Point has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points over those games. As for Amityville Memorial, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Rocky Point will square off against Mount Sinai at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' defense better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 68.9 points per game this season. As for Amityville Memorial, they will head out to challenge Wyandanch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Amityville Memorial will need to watch out since Wyandanch has now posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
