Volleyball Game Preview: Waupaca Comets vs. Mosinee Indians

The Waupaca Comets will square off against the Mosinee Indians on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Waupaca sitting on 11 straight wins and Mosinee on 19.

Waupaca is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Lakeland.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 19-25, 25-15, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Mosinee made easy work of Reedsburg on Saturday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Mosinee was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-14, 25-18.

Mosinee's win came from a few key players Waupaca will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kyndal Schlei, who had five digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Waupaca's record is now 25-10. As for Mosinee, their record now sits at 35-3.

Waupaca couldn't quite get it done against Mosinee when the teams last played back in August as they fell 2-0. Can the Comets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
