Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Ashton-Franklin Center

Ashton-Franklin Center won the last time they faced Alden-Hebron and things went their way on Wednesday too. Ashton-Franklin Center blew past Alden-Hebron 14-3. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won four matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Logan O'Brien was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Aaron Lester was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Ashton-Franklin Center was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alden-Hebron only posted a batting average of .071.

The victory (which was Ashton-Franklin Center's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Alden-Hebron, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ashton-Franklin Center will face off against Oregon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Alden-Hebron, they will challenge Woodstock North at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
