Recap: Pepin/Alma vs. Houston Hurricanes
Pepin/Alma's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell to Houston 57-51. Pepin/Alma was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Houston apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Houston was led to victory by Zach Olson and Morgan Rohweder. Olson scored 15 points, while Rohweder almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds. Olson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Geiwitz, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Pepin/Alma has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for Houston, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pepin/Alma will take on Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Houston, they will be playing at home against Lanesboro at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Lanesboro has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
