Baseball Recap: Mather Rangers vs. Northridge Knights

If Mather was riding high fresh off their 16-2 takedown of Westinghouse on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rangers came up short against the Northridge Knights on Friday, falling 22-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the 12-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

David Goytia and Jeriel Mejias did some serious damage despite the final result: Goytia got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double, while Mejias got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs.
