Baseball Game Preview: Warren Dragons vs. Fort LeBoeuf Bison

The Warren Dragons will head out to take on the Fort LeBoeuf Bison at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren is looking for their season's first win.

Warren fell victim to McDowell and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 9-0 to the Trojans.

Warren saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Thibodeaux, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fort LeBoeuf, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past Erie 8-7. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bison as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Grady Matkovich made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Matkovich was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.

In other batting news, Jackson Lewis was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kadin Dombkowski, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

Fort LeBoeuf kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Fort LeBoeuf's record now sits at 3-8. As for Warren, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Warren was able to grind out a solid win over Fort LeBoeuf when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dragons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
