Buhach Colony and Golden Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Buhach Colony Thunder will take on the Golden Valley Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Buhach Colony turned things around against Golden Valley on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Cougars 7-6.

Jax Vawter and Daniel Sims dominated on the mound. Vawter didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched, while Sims pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave Vawter a new career-low in walks (one).

At the plate, Jacob Gomez was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season. Ethan Quintana was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Buhach Colony's victory bumped their record up to 3-7-1. As for Golden Valley, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
