Softball Recap: Elizabethton's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Elizabethton waltzed into their match on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Sevier County Smoky Bears. Considering the Fighting Cyclones have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Elizabethton pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Sevier County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Elizabethton will host Daniel Boone at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sevier County, they are taking a road trip to take on Grainger at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
