Softball Recap: Port St. Lucie Takes a Loss

Port St. Lucie came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 22-7 to the Master's Academy Patriots. The loss continues a trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost seven in a row.

Lydia Agosta made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Torres, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Port St. Lucie's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Master's Academy, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home.

Coming up, Port St. Lucie will square off against Berean Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 12.2 runs per game this season. As for Master's Academy, they will challenge Oasis Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
