Basketball Recap: Hardee Sets Scoring Season-High Against Desoto County

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hardee). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the DeSoto County Bulldogs on Thursday, sneaking past 76-73. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since January 11th.

Hardee found their leader in freshman Victor Rodriguez, who posted 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rodriguez has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Teagan VanSickle, who had 16 points.

Hardee's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for DeSoto County, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Hardee will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Naples Classical at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for DeSoto County, they and South Fort Myers will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
