Baseball Game Preview: South Point Red Raiders vs. North Gaston Wildcats

For the second straight game, South Point will face off against North Gaston. The Red Raiders will welcome the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Point is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, South Point came up short against North Gaston and fell 8-3.

For North Gaston's part, they got a great performance from Caleb Cloninger as he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits.

North Gaston is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for South Point, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
