Softball Game Preview: Foley Lions vs. Fairhope Pirates

Foley hasn't had much luck against Fairhope recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lions will take on the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Foley lost 17-1 to Robertsdale on Thursday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Fairhope's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against Daphne, falling 7-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Pirates couldn't push the score so high this time.

Fairhope's defeat dropped their record down to 23-9. As for Foley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.

Foley couldn't quite get it done against Fairhope in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-0. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
