Volleyball Recap: Trinity Christian Falls Despite Big Games from Jersey Mccasland and Cecily Kaufman

After flying high against Coram Deo Academy on Saturday, Trinity Christian came back down to earth. The Lions fell just short of the Midland Christian Mustangs by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Midland Christian scored at least 12 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 21-25, 23-25, 15-12.

Trinity Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cecily Kaufman, who had seven digs and four aces, and Jersey McCasland, who had ten digs and three aces. With that strong performance, Kaufman is now averaging an impressive 12.2 assists per game.

Trinity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 23-7. As for Midland Christian, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will face off against Temple Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Midland Christian, they will challenge Grace Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
