Baseball Recap: Bastrop Comes Up Short

Bastrop suffered their closest loss since April 12, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Chaparral Bobcats by a score of 8-6. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Bastrop dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Chaparral, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2-1.

Bastrop has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Rudder on the 7th. As for Chaparral, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 11-10 loss against St. Andrew's on the 7th.
