Basketball Recap: Connelly School of the Holy Child Takes a Loss

Connelly School of the Holy Child was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Maret Frogs and fell 66-29. Connelly School of the Holy Child was probably out for revenge after losing 82-59 to them when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Maret was led to victory by Kennedy Austin and London Liley. Austin dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds, while Liley dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Liley a new career-high in rebounds. Marissa Fernandez was another key player, putting up ten points.

Connelly School of the Holy Child's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Maret, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Connelly School of the Holy Child will be taking part in a tournament against Surrattsville at 10:40 a.m. on Saturday. As for Maret, they will challenge Dalton at 10:55 a.m. on Saturday.
