Softball Recap: Middleburgh Comes Up Short

Middleburgh fell victim to Galway and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 20-0 to the Golden Eagles. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Middleburgh's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Galway, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Middleburgh wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-0 defeat against Duanesburg on the 8th. As for Galway, they will challenge Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Golden Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
