For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Montesano and Centralia have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 3-1 win over the Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Montesano also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Montesano used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Centralia. Jaelyn Butterfield played for 78 minutes having averaged 44.8 this season and Lex Stanfield got 78 vs. an average of 50.5. The pair took full advantage of the opportunity: Butterfield scored a goal, while she put up three assists.

Montesano's victory bumped their record up to 4-1-1. As for Centralia, they now have a losing record of 2-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montesano will take on Klahowya at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Centralia, they will head out to challenge Kelso at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
