Softball Recap: Waltham Takes a Loss

Waltham lost against Winchester back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hawks lost 23-17 to the Red & Black. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Laila Drouillard was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring five runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Mandile, who scored a run while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Waltham now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Winchester, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Waltham will face off against Watertown at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Winchester, they will take on Westport at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
