Basketball Recap: Gardena Wins Going Away Against University

It was a proper cat-fight when Gardena challenged University on Thursday. The Gardena Panthers enjoyed a cozy 45-29 victory over the University Wildcats. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

When it comes to explaining why University lost, don't look at Jonah Hansen. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points. Orpheu Cummings was another key player, putting up nine points and eight rebounds.

Gardena's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for University, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Gardena wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 69-47 defeat against Arleta on the 3rd. As for University, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-48 victory against Franklin on the 3rd.
