Baseball Recap: Levi Coghill Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat North Montgomery

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Delphi Community walked away with it. They never let the North Montgomery Chargin' Chargers get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Thursday.

Brett Huffman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since May 3rd.

Huffman wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Levi Coghill, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Delphi Community's record is now 17-11. As for North Montgomery, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-9.

As of now, neither Delphi Community nor the Chargin' Chargers have any future games scheduled.
