Softball Recap: Penn Yan Academy Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Penn Yan Academy's offense. They lost 22-0 to the Wayland-Cohocton Eagles on Wednesday. The defeat leaves the Mustangs still looking for their first win of the season.

Penn Yan Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Wayland-Cohocton, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Coming up, Penn Yan Academy will square off against Waterloo at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Wayland-Cohocton, they will take on Dansville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.33 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
