Softball Recap: Chippewa Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Chippewa's offense. They came up short against the South Central Trojans on Saturday, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Chipps' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Chippewa saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MADI RIES, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Chippewa's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for South Central, their record is now 9-17.

Looking ahead, Chippewa will host Smithville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chipps are facing the Smithies at the right time seeing as the Smithies are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for South Central, they will venture away from home to face off against Monroeville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
