With a playoff win on the line, Central Heights rose to the challenge on Thursday. Everything went their way against the New Waverly Bulldogs as they made off with a 10-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won 18 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Central Heights is on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for New Waverly, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-17.
