Basketball Recap: Milford Find Success

Milford won the last time they faced Sharon and things went their way on Friday too. The Milford Scarlet Hawks walked away with a 71-60 victory over the Sharon Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Scarlet Hawks.

Milford had a senior duo take command as Andrew Rivera posted 22 points along with eight rebounds and six assists and Gus Coutinho dropped a double-double on 22 points and 18 boards. Coutinho has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more boards the last 20 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Dasilva, who had eight points.

Milford was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Milford's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Sharon, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milford will face off against Attleboro at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sharon, they will head out to take on King Philip Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
