You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Grossmont's strategy against Granite Hills on Monday. The Grossmont Foothillers took down the Granite Hills Eagles 25-6. Given the Foothillers' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Eagles are ranked 252nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
A big part of Grossmont's victory came down to the chemistry between Marissa Farace and her top target Gabi Thomas. Farace threw for 204 yards and three touchdowns while Thomas picked up 84 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
