Softball Preview: Badger Braves vs. Mathews Mustangs

Badger is 0-10 against Mathews since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Badger Braves will head out on the road to square off against the Mathews Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Badger is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.

Last Wednesday, Badger was able to grind out a solid win over East Palestine, taking the game 4-1.

Isabella Bailey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered one run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Badger saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Bradbury, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was Molly O'Brien, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Mathews' good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 13-3 to Chardon.
