Volleyball Recap: ROWVA/Williamsfield Takes a Loss

ROWVA/Williamsfield lost against Wethersfield back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Flying Geese by a score of 2-1. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

ROWVA/Williamsfield started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-23, 25-10.

ROWVA/Williamsfield's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 15-5. As for Wethersfield, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

ROWVA/Williamsfield and Wethersfield should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Cougars (ranked 240th) will meet Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (ranked 676th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Wethersfield will challenge Rockridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (146 vs. 451).
