Football Recap: El Dorado Find Success

While El Dorado's victory against Capistrano Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Golden Hawks won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Cougars 13-12. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Golden Hawks as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

A big part of El Dorado's victory came down to the chemistry between Victoria Correa and her top target Abigail Fitzpatrick. Correa threw for 195 yards and a pair of TDs while Fitzpatrick picked up 60 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Those 60 receiving yards gave Fitzpatrick a new career-high.

El Dorado's record now sits at 5-8. As for Capistrano Valley, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

El Dorado has already played their next contest, a 7-6 loss against Mission Viejo on the 13th. As for Capistrano Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 41-0 defeat against Dana Hills on the 13th.
