Softball Game Preview: Westhampton Beach Hurricanes vs. Harborfields Tornadoes

The Westhampton Beach Hurricanes will head out to square off against the Harborfields Tornadoes at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harborfields took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Westhampton Beach, who comes in off a win.

While Westhampton Beach's win against Riverhead wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hurricanes skirted past the Blue Waves 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hurricanes have posted since April 22, 2024.

Meanwhile, Harborfields was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-7 to Westhampton Beach.

The win snapped Westhampton Beach's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record. As for Harborfields, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Westhampton Beach took their victory against Harborfields when the teams last played last Saturday by a conclusive 18-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hurricanes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
