Football Recap: Bayshore Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

Bayshore took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They secured a 36-30 W over the Sarasota Sailors. For the Bruins, this counts as revenge for the 56-8 victory the Sailors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2022.

Jaydis Wiley had an outrageously good game as he threw for 255 yards and four TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 57 yards and one score on only seven carries.

Despite the defeat, Sarasota saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Hudson West threw for 225 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 51 yards. Jayden Rivers was West's top target, picking up 53 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Bayshore wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 40-0 loss against Parrish Community on the 29th. As for Sarasota, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 27-7 win against Braden River on the 29th.
