Basketball Game Preview: Lee Ganders vs. Barbers Hill Eagles

Lee is on a four-game streak of home losses, Barbers Hill a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Lee Ganders will host the Barbers Hill Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Lee is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Nederland on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Lee was outmatched by Nederland and fell 61-31. While losing is never fun, the Ganders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1198th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 162nd).

Meanwhile, Barbers Hill was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 67-62 to Port Arthur Memorial.

Lee's defeat dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Barbers Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 16-10.

Lee was taken down by Barbers Hill 77-27 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lee was down 41-13.
