Football Recap: Southview Starts Season with Win at Home

Southview took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 40-0 win over the Northview Wildcats. The Cougars pushed the score to 33-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats had no chance of recovering from.

Adam Lepla had a dynamite game, picking up 212 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 76 yards.

Southview didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Alex Yockey and Ben Dykhuis. Southview got some further help from Michael Miller: he picked up two sacks and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Southview has already played their next matchup, a 14-0 defeat against Clay on the 29th. As for Northview, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-10 loss against Springfield on the 29th.
