Sadly, North Star is still looking for their first win of the season after four contests. They fell victim to a rough 15-1 defeat at the hands of the Shade Panthers on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to North Star of the 15-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
For Shade's part, Jaedyn Krupper was a standout: she scored three runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Tori Bowers, who went 3-for-3 with three RBI.
North Star's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
North Star will be playing in front of their home fans against Blacklick Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Blacklick Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season. As for Shade, they will head out on the road to challenge Turkeyfoot Valley Area at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
