Softball Recap: Monroe Trojans vs. Pinckney Pirates
Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 14-1 walloping at the hands of the Pinckney Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Monroe of the 7-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
Monroe saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eloisa Reyes, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Pinckney, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroe will take on Airport at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pinckney, they will head out on the road to face off against Adrian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
