Baseball Game Preview: Oakman Wildcats vs. Carbon Hill Bulldogs

The Oakman Wildcats will take on the Carbon Hill Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Oakman and Carbon Hill meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. Oakman was the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over Carbon Hill. Considering the Wildcats have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Tucker Wilcutt was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Hampton Hall was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

Oakman's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Carbon Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
