Softball Recap: Hebron Wins Going Away Against Lewisville

While Hebron put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Lewisville. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Farmers. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Not much got past Kate Buesing, who gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks to keep Lewisville off the board. Buesing has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, EK Hagedorn was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Liz Cardona was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

The win made it two in a row for Hebron and bumps their season record up to 17-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Lewisville, their loss was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-20-1.

Looking ahead, Hebron will welcome Braswell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks are facing the Bengals at the right time seeing as the Bengals are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Lewisville, they will take on Guyer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
