Basketball Recap: Jeffers Jets vs. Dollar Bay Bays
The Jeffers Jets won the last time they faced the Dollar Bay Bays, and things went their way on Friday too. Jeffers blew past the Bays 47-25. The win made it back-to-back wins for Jeffers.
Dollar Bay's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Evelyn Moilanen, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Kiera Isaacson who scored two points along with two steals. Moilanen is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.
Jeffers' win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Dollar Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jeffers' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Lakes at 7:15 p.m. on February 5th. Lake Linden-Hubbell presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Jets in Michigan (the Lakes are ranked 95th, while the Jets are ranked 445th). As for Dollar Bay, they will head out on the road to face off against the Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
