With a playoff win on the line, Mountain Heritage rose to the challenge on Friday. They took down the Murphy Bulldogs 26-8. The victory was just business as usual for the Cougars, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.

Lane Chandler continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 186 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per carry. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles and defending one pass. Brandon Quinn was another key player, rushing for 154 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mountain Heritage was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 415 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August.

Mountain Heritage's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.5 points. As for Murphy, they moved to 12-2 with that defeat, which also ended their 12-game winning streak.

Mountain Heritage has already played their next matchup, a 28-19 loss against Corvian Community on the 13th. Murphy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
