Football Recap: Davis Takes Down Ranked Farmington

Davis faced Farmington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Darts walked away with a 21-10 win over the Phoenix. The 21-point effort marked the Darts' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Davis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bode Sparrow, who picked up 163 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Those 163 receiving yards gave Sparrow a new career-high. Tradon Bessinger was another key player, having thrown for 255 yards and two touchdowns.

When it comes to explaining why Farmington lost, don't look at Drew Love. Despite the final result, he rushed for 172 yards and one TD.

Davis pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Farmington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
