Football Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Davis

Davis had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.8 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They walked away with a 21-10 victory over the Farmington Phoenix. The 21-point effort marked the Darts' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Davis got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Bode Sparrow out in front who picked up 163 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. With that strong performance, Sparrow is now averaging an impressive 106 receiving yards per game. Tradon Bessinger was another key signal caller, throwing for 255 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt.

When it comes to explaining why Farmington lost, don't look at Drew Love. Despite the final result, he rushed for 172 yards and one score.

Davis' victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Farmington, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

Davis wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 42-7 win against Layton on the 9th. As for Farmington, they have also already played their next game, a 27-21 victory against Syracuse on the 9th.
