Basketball Recap: Shelley Comes Up Short

Shelley lost against Skyline last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Shelley Russets lost 67-44 to the Skyline Grizzlies.

Leading Skyline to victory were Shay Shippen and Macy Marlow. Shippen almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine rebounds, while Marlow almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. Shippen's evening made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Nelly Nunez was another key player, putting up nine points.

Shelley's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Skyline, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Shelley nor Skyline have any future games scheduled.
