The Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Locust Fork Hornets at 6:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Mortimer Jordan is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They pulled ahead with a 75-74 photo finish over Cullman on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Blue Devils' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Bearcats are ranked 21st).

Meanwhile, Locust Fork came up short against Hayden on Tuesday and fell 84-74. The Hornets have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Locust Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 16-3. As for Mortimer Jordan, they moved to 8-14 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Mortimer Jordan didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Locust Fork in their previous matchup back in February of 2016, but they still walked away with a 56-51 win.
