Softball Recap: Bonita Finds Home Field Redemption Against Glendora

There's no place like home for Bonita, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Glendora Tartans 3-2 on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Serenity Reyes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, Bonita's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mia Guererro, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Bonita pushed their record up to 14-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Glendora, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-6.

Bonita has already played their next game, an 11-0 victory against Claremont on the 17th. As for Glendora, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 defeat against Muir on the 16th.
