Xavier Prep is 9-1 against Cathedral City since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cathedral City, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past Desert Mirage 3-2.

Isaac Reyes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on one hit and racked up 11 Ks. Cathedral City is undefeated when Reyes posts eight or more strikeouts, but 1-10 otherwise.

Xavier Prep's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Cathedral City, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.
