Baseball Game Preview: Rogers Mountaineers vs. Har-Ber Wildcats

The Rogers Mountaineers will face off against the Har-Ber Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, everything went Rogers' way against Bentonville as Rogers made off with a 9-2 victory. The Mountaineers haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Har-Ber, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Bishop Kelley 12-11. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

The team relied heavily on NASH JEFFUS, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. JAXON PICKARD was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Har-Ber was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Kelley only posted a batting average of .290.

Har-Ber pushed their record up to 2-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Rogers, their record is now 2-0.

Rogers couldn't quite finish off Har-Ber in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 2-0. Can Rogers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
