Baseball Recap: Park River Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Park River came tearing into Friday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Carrington Cardinals as they made off with a 17-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Aggies, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Park River pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Carrington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Park River will take on Lisbon at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Aggies 2.2, the Broncos 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Carrington, they will venture away from home to face off against Shiloh Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
