Softball Recap: Lakeland Preparatory Lions vs. Fayette Ware Wildcats
Lakeland Preparatory took care of business in their home opener on Wednesday (and then some). They put the hurt on the Fayette Ware Wildcats with a sharp 14-4 victory.
Reese Harrell was incredible, going 3-for-3 with a home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Falcone, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
Fayette Ware are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeland Preparatory will take on Bartlett at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bartlett is coming into the match with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Lakeland Preparatory will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Fayette Ware, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Middleton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
