Baseball Recap: North Stafford Takes a Loss

North Stafford made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Riverbend, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wolverines fell just short of the Bears by a score of 5-3 on Friday. The Wolverines have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

North Stafford's loss dropped their record down to 5-10-1. As for Riverbend, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Stafford will square off against L.C. Bird at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Riverbend, they will host Colonial Forge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears are on a five-game streak of home wins, the Eagles a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
